Cityframes FRAME, set in Tainan, Taiwan, captures the familiar cityscape within a three-dimensional frame. Measuring 64 x 64 cm, it presents the textures of streets, buildings, and the city. Suitable for hanging in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, or offices, it can also be placed directly on a cabinet, becoming an architecturally inspired object.
The model was built using Cityframes' proprietary CitySculpt process, based on high-precision 3D city data. The locations, outlines, and details of buildings were then manually adjusted to ensure that the scaled-down city retains clear and easily recognizable layers. The soft white model has a matte, plaster-like texture, creating a quiet yet distinct contrast with the black solid wood frame, allowing light and shadow to fall naturally between the streets and buildings.
