Buddy is a collectible doll created by artist Yusuke Hanai and released by lottery in a limited edition of 500 copies worldwide. Yusuke Hanai once lived in San Francisco, USA, so he was greatly influenced by the street culture of the West Coast, including the diverse non-mainstream cultures such as the beatniks, hippies, surfers, etc. His creations also mixed Eastern and Western elements.
Yusuke Hanai's latest work, Buddy, shows him relaxing with his cat, immersed in sitting on a ladder, giving everything just the right healing atmosphere. Cuddle your beloved, furry Buddy and enjoy some warm and cozy time together. Open your arms and collect your own Buddy "Even if you scratch me and bite me, you are still my irreplaceable friend." This is also the first time that Yusuke Hanai has presented his doll works with wooden accessories such as seats and ladders after his classic works Down But Not Out and We Will Fly Again.
The Buddy doll sculpture is 11 inches tall and is made of vinyl, wood and composite media. Each model is limited to 500 pieces, with the artist's signature printed on the bottom, and comes with a wooden box packaging and an individually numbered authentication card.
